Whaddon is located in the parliamentary constituency of South-West Cambridgeshire, and in the Eastern electoral area of the UK's section of the European Parliament.

Its County Councillor sits on Cambridgeshire County Council. District services are provided by South Cambridgeshire District Council; Whaddon is presently part of a combined ward with Bassingbourn, which has two District Councillors.

Accepted and proposed boundary changes may change some of these districts in the near future.

It is extremely disappointing that local authorities no longer can be bothered to produce a booklet sent out with the council tax assessments telling us how they spend our money. The following links are the ones given on the council tax documents to enable you to view this information. They are frequently not easy to follow--you have been warned.

These are currently for the 2021-2022 financial year.
