Whaddon Parish Council

The Parish Council meets monthly in the Village Hall, with the normal exception of August and December, on the second Monday. Dates of meetings are listed here, and are also posted on the village notice boards. Parish Notice Boards are situated by the Telephone Box in Meldreth Road, by the letterbox in Bridge Street and at the Main Notice Board situated alongside the Recreation Ground and Village Hall.

Parishioners are entitled to attend the monthly meetings and are encouraged to do so, but may only speak at the end of meetings with the consent of the Chairman. Further information can be obtained from Councillors or the Clerk to the Parish.

At the 2009 AGM the Council voted to set up a Planning Committee to consider planning applications, which are no longer considered at regular Council meetings. This committee schedules meetings every two weeks in the Village Hall to ensure that their comments are made to the Planners within the appropriate deadlines; if there are no applications the meetings will not take place. Dates, agendas and minutes are available on this web site and on the village noticeboards.

The Precept for 2010-2011 has been agreed; it is unchanged from last year. Details will be found by following the link in this paragraph.
