Whaddon Whitsun Weekend 2006: 3-4 June

Last year we revived the tradition of singing the Whaddon Whitsun Song in the village. This year we're doing it again, but in a slightly different format.

Saturday 3 June

Folk evening
7.30-11 pm
Village Hall

with ceilidh dancing and folk music

Tickets cost £8 (or £6 for concessions), and the price includes refreshments.
Proceeds to St Mary's Church

Sunday 4 June

Whitsun procession through the village
with the Devil's Dyke Morris Men and White Rose Morris Men

Procession starts at 10.30 from both ends of the village (16 Meldreth Road and 122 Bridge Street) and will meet at the church by 12 noon

Whitsun service at the church at 12 noon

After the church service, the morris men will proceed to the Golf Centre for more dancing and lunch.

Please come out and see the dancing, and even join in. See the schedule of dancing to find out when the procession will be near you. And feel free to join the procession too!
